FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q&A: Cash-Based Out-of-Network Physical Therapy Clinic

Q1: What is a cash-based out-of-network physical therapy clinic?

A1: A cash-based out-of-network physical therapy clinic is a healthcare facility that does not bill insurance companies directly, with the exception of Medicare. Patients pay for services directly, and they may be reimbursed by their insurance if they have out-of-network benefits.

Q2: Why choose a cash-based clinic over an in-network provider?

A2: Cash-based clinics offer several advantages, including longer one-on-one sessions with your therapist, more control over your treatment plan, and the ability to choose your provider. This model often results in a more personalized and efficient rehabilitation experience.

Q3: How much will my sessions cost, and what payment options are available?

A3: The cost of a session is $160 for a 55-minute session. We accept payment through cash, credit/debit cards, Venmo, and HSA/FSA accounts.

Q4: Do you provide receipts for reimbursement by insurance?

A4: Yes, we can provide detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits. We can also submit electronic claims on your behalf.  Keep in mind that insurance reimbursement varies depending on your policy, so it is essential to check with your provider for specific details. For Medicare patients, we are in-network, and a doctor's referral is required.

Q5: What types of conditions do you treat?

A5: Our experienced physical therapists can help with a wide range of conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal injuries, sports-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain, and more. We offer tailored treatment plans to meet your individual needs.

Q6: Do I need a doctor's referral to receive treatment at your clinic?

A6: In most cases, a doctor's referral is not necessary, except for Medicare patients. For Medicare beneficiaries, a doctor's referral is required for treatment. It is best to check with your insurance provider or contact us for more information.

Q7: What should I expect during my first visit?

A7: During your initial consultation, you will undergo a comprehensive evaluation where your therapist will assess your condition, discuss your goals, and create a personalized treatment plan. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions or address concerns you may have.

Q8: How long are the treatment sessions, and how many sessions will I need?

A8: Treatment sessions are 55 minutes, and the number of sessions required will vary based on your condition and individual goals. Your therapist will provide a more accurate estimate after your initial evaluation.

Q10: How do I schedule an appointment or ask additional questions?

A10: Scheduling an appointment or asking questions is easy. You can call us at 713-392-4544 or use our online booking system. If you have additional questions, feel free to email us at nickbholm@gmail.com, and our team will be happy to assist you.
